Economic Business Sustainability and Strengthening Human Resource Capacity Based on Increasing the Productivity of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Makassar City, Indonesia

The dynamics of urban development coupled with economic growth have contributed positively to the small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Optimizing utilization strengthening capacity SMEs’ human resources will encourage increased productivity sustainability This study aims analyze (1) (HR) work as a determinant increasing (SMEs) labor absorption; (2) effect (HR), business productivity, technology utilization, diversification on (SMEs); (3) optimizing role government in supporting development, stability uses sequential explanatory design approach. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, surveys, documentation. Qualitative analysis this was carried out process data reduction, presentation, conclusion drawing, while quantitative descriptive analysis, correlation, multiple regression. results showed that resources, use technology, followed by business, had positive contribution Furthermore, resource capacity, simultaneously significant correlation determination coefficient 72.3%. recommends policy support an impact Makassar City, Indonesia.
